The study investigates the learning experiences of college-educated adults aged 60 to 98, focusing on what they learned, their cognitive strategies, and the benefits of their learning. Involving 35 active learners, the research utilized interviews and focus groups to gather data. Findings reveal that older adults pursue diverse interests through various methods, continue cognitive development, and view learning as a vital aspect of life. Additionally, it highlights the impact of gender on late-life learning and suggests that such engagement can counteract the effects of aging.
