The study focuses on the participation and roles of women and men in the fishing livelihoods of Lake Baringo's fishing community, emphasizing the need for gender-disaggregated data to understand their contributions and address gender-based constraints. It aims to establish gender roles, identify factors influencing fishing practices, and explore coping strategies employed by community members. Conducted as a cross-sectional survey, the research highlights the importance of sustainable fisheries management and the impact of government regulations on local livelihoods.
