The study analyzes word formation processes in chapter sixteen of J.K. Rowling's novel, identifying 340 unique words that occur 755 times. Five types of word formation are explored: inflection, suppletion, derivation, cliticization, and compounding. Inflection is highlighted as the most prevalent type, demonstrating its role as a productive method for creating new words. This examination showcases the richness of language in both everyday communication and literary contexts, emphasizing the dynamic nature of word formation.
