Focusing on the intersection of religious identities and globalization, this work examines how the Global South's experiences differ from those of the Global North, particularly in the context of secularism and fundamentalism. It critiques the neo-Orientalist lens often applied to Southern religions, emphasizing their historical role in resisting colonial domination. By engaging with various disciplines, the author highlights the importance of lived religion in Asia and fosters a dialogue between the scholarly approaches of both regions, uncovering their social, political, and cultural implications.
