Set against the backdrop of 1917 Russia, the story follows Captain Carl Griffensteen as he embarks on a mission to scout a Romanian castle. His journey takes an unexpected turn when he encounters parallel worlds and is tasked by the angel Pelagion with a monumental quest: to redeem Lucifer and heal the world. As Carl and his striker traverse surreal landscapes reflecting their inner struggles, they forge alliances and confront formidable foes, ultimately leading to the climactic Battle of Gnipaheden.
