Adult Literacy Programs in Uganda

Focusing on adult literacy education in Uganda, this publication evaluates the effectiveness of two programs: Functional Adult Literacy (FAL) and Regenerated Freirean Literacy through Empowering Community Techniques (REFLECT). It highlights the government's recognition of the impact of illiteracy on personal and societal development. The findings reveal that both government and non-government programs can achieve similar success, contingent on implementation quality. The evaluation aims to inform future policies and improve adult literacy education in the country.
