The book explores the concept of regional strategic networks (RSNs) as a means to enhance regional development through collaboration among local actors. Drawing on the success of industrial districts in northern Italy since the 1980s, it examines how geographic proximity fosters beneficial relationships and networks. The thesis aims to elucidate the theoretical and practical significance of RSNs, supported by findings from two detailed case studies, highlighting their role in shaping policy and economic growth in various regions.
