Stripped of his possessions and plagued by personal betrayals, Henry navigates a chaotic life in Port Moresby, where his past haunts him and his present disintegrates. His wife’s infidelity, a housekeeper's disdain, and the loss of his vision compound his struggles. Despite his father's controversial collection of Aboriginal artifacts and the growing hostility of the locals, Henry clings to the absurdity of his situation. With a sense of humor reminiscent of Martian escapism, he grapples with the unfairness of his circumstances.
