Focusing on the ethical implications of lifelong learning ideology, this work critiques 21 educational policy and management trends that arise from it. The author argues that these trends create unavoidable ethical dilemmas for educators and participants, which cannot be fully resolved but can be managed. By understanding these dilemmas, educators, policymakers, and managers can navigate the complexities of educational reforms more effectively, potentially alleviating the challenges and frustrations often linked to these changes.
