The Logic of Language Development in Early Childhood

Focusing on early language development, this research monograph presents observational data from a study of three German children, specifically analyzing two middle-class children from 16 to 23 months of age. Conducted under the German Department of the University of Frankfurt and funded by the Max-Planck-Institut, the project aims to reconstruct language acquisition patterns in children from different socio-economic backgrounds. The interim report, published in 1975, provides insights into the cognitive and social factors influencing language learning.
