With over 30 years of experience, the author integrates insights from genetics, anatomy, biochemistry, and physiology, emphasizing that structural development precedes functional changes. Despite advancements in technology, fundamental aspects of normal development remain elusive. This work offers a personal review of human endocrine gland development, drawing on extensive studies of embryos and literature to present a comprehensive perspective.
