Focusing on the travertine quarries at Hatnub in Egypt, this work explores archaeological remains primarily from the Old and Middle Kingdoms. Fieldwork conducted from 1984 to 1990 reveals insights into the quarrying techniques and the significance of Egyptian alabaster in ancient times. The study highlights the historical context of these quarries and their role in the broader landscape of ancient Egyptian industry and culture.
