Despite their hopes, the intifada's aspirations were ultimately thwarted, as the Israeli occupation persisted without Palestinian cooperation. The book emphasizes that the real leverage against the occupiers lies with the states and agencies supporting Israel, which continue to enable the denial of basic human rights to Palestinians.
