Falsely accused of theft, José Gaspar's escape leads him to an unexpected life as a pirate. While aboard a ship bound for Florida, he rescues his best friend and liberates the crew from a tyrannical captain. His adventures escalate as he confronts the notorious Pierre LaFitte and ultimately seizes the west coast of Florida as his territory. However, his newfound pirate life faces challenges with the arrival of American forces.
