This book talks about how Europeans started the colonisation of Africa in the early fifteenth century, how they lost interest in the continent after the discovery of America in 1492, and how they subsequently rushed back to Africa (the Scramble for Africa) in the second half of the nineteenth century after they had lost their colonies in the American continent.
