"Fly On The Wall" points towards the oneness of all. Each chapter has a different focal point that, in most chapters, is a tangible setting. The reader is encouraged to seize the essence of each setting and the collection of various focal points as a whole and surrender the need to find a meaning or meanings from the book. The author was inclined to do this as a way to portray people when we are, "being real" in our every day strides of life. He feels formal interviews alter the interviewee's behavior to a degree that the information the interviewer collects is of no real use.
