"Dear and Glorious Physician" tells the story of the great healer Lucanus, better known as Saint Luke, the third evangelist. He possessed the profound medical wisdom of Alexandria and held the power to preserve life and conquer death. Lucanus acquired his knowledge in the magnificent Babylonian Empire, the cradle of science, at the grand Library of Alexandria, where countless volumes contained arcane secrets capable of healing the ailments of both body and soul. During his long journey from Rome to the Holy Land, Lucanus converted to Christianity and used his art and devotion to alleviate the despair of those he encountered along the way.
