This monograph aims to provide a comprehensive overview of the field, summarizing around 1,700 articles contributed by over 1,800 scientists. While it captures significant contributions, the author acknowledges that some important work may be missing and invites feedback for future editions. Personal acknowledgments are made to colleagues who influenced the author's interest in organosilicon chemistry.
