The Christian story-in all its wonders and paradoxes-is the subject of this book. Williams' experience with bipolar II is the lens. His illness allows him see aspects of the Christian story that he never would have seen before, and forces him to grapple with doctrines that he never would have questioned before. This book is born out of his struggle to square his experience with the Christian faith and the hope that he has found through his suffering.
