John Michael Cohen Poradie kníh

John Michael Cohen bol plodným prekladateľom európskej literatúry do angličtiny. Svoju prekladateľskú kariéru začal prvým anglickým prekladom básní Borisa Pasternaka, ktorý bol vtedy mimo Sovietskeho zväzu neznámy. Jeho preklad Pasternaka získal pochvalu od amerického básnika Johna Ashberyho. Cohen zohral kľúčovú úlohu v latinskoamerickom boomu 60. rokov prekladmi diel významných autorov a sprístupňovaním ich diel anglicky hovoriacim čitateľom. Okrem prekladov a redakčnej práce sa venoval aj literárnej kritike a biografii.
