In 1978, Dr. Helen Hildreth, a compassionate psychiatrist at a treatment center in Vermont, balances her professional life with her role as a loving grandmother to Vi and Eric. Fast forward to 2019, Lizzy Shelley, the host of the podcast Monsters Among Us, heads to Vermont to investigate a recent child abduction and a reported monster sighting. Lizzy is driven by personal stakes, as she knows firsthand that monsters exist—one of them being her own sister.
