He contends with the troublesome Sjoberg twins, investigates the mysterious disappearance of the base commander, and grapples with telepathic communication from the alien Zan, who harbors a secret that could endanger Earth. As Dashiell uncovers these challenges, he must confront both personal and cosmic dilemmas that intertwine his fate with the future of humanity.
