In 1944, between the Langhe hills, a private thought pushes Milton to abandon his post and seek out the truth behind the treasonous act of his inconstant lover, Fulvia. Through snow, rain, mud, and the fascist soldiers, he searches in a state of solitary heroism, blindly unaware of the possibly grave collective consequences.   En el año de 1944 en plena guerra entre las colinas de las Langhe, un asunto privado empuja al partisano Milton a abandonar su puesto y perseguir la verdad sobre la traición de su inconsistente amada, Fulvia. Busca entre la niebla, la lluvia, el barro, y las partidas fascistas, en una suerte de heroicidad solitaria y de ciega irresponsabilidad de graves consecuencias colectivas.
