Tom, a substitute teacher at a private school, steps in for an arrested guidance counselor and discovers disturbing secrets about troubled students. Among them is Seth, who runs a suicide encouragement site. Despite Tom's attempts to help, he struggles to connect with the teens, feeling increasingly helpless in their dark world.
