Lori Vale, a defiant teenager, finds herself caught in a brutal religious clash following her mother's murder. Taken to a historic Greek monastery, she encounters a radical group of women determined to rewrite the Bible to empower women by challenging traditional interpretations that enforce subservience. Their project, the Holy Women's Bible, aims to revise the Old and New Testaments, removing passages that perpetuate female oppression and advocating for a new perspective on women's roles in faith and society.
