Set against the backdrop of the tumultuous 1960s, the story follows five friends from Orlando's eastside as they navigate the complexities of adolescence and societal change. Their lives are marked by significant historical events, including the impacts of WWII, civil rights movements, and the Vietnam War. The narrative takes a dark turn when Jackie, a pivotal figure in their lives, is murdered, prompting Tommy to rally his friends to uncover the truth, leading them into unforeseen dangers.
