The story follows fifteen-year-old Nelson Burns, who faces exclusion from school after confronting a bully connected to the Town Mayor. As he grapples with the consequences of his actions, he finds an unexpected opportunity at a scrapyard owned by the notorious Tommy Ratson, accompanied by his unique dog, Zombie. This new environment presents Nelson with challenges and the chance for personal growth, as he navigates his tumultuous teenage years and seeks redemption.
