Focusing on right-wing politics in Brazil during the Cold War, the book reveals how conservatives became integral to a transnational network of cultural activists. Utilizing underexplored archival records, it examines their role in supporting Brazil's military dictatorship from 1964 to 1985. The author argues that these individuals and organizations contributed to a moral panic that linked communist threats with modernity, particularly concerning gender, sexuality, youth, and media, shaping the political landscape of the era.
