Focusing on the dynamics of right-wing politics in Brazil during the Cold War, the book examines the influential role of conservatives within a transnational network of cultural activists. Utilizing underexplored archival records, it reveals how these individuals and organizations supported Brazil's military dictatorship from 1964 to 1985. The author argues that they contributed to a moral panic that linked communist threats with modernity, particularly concerning gender, sexuality, youth, and media, shaping the political landscape of the era.
