Merging devotional poetry with avant-garde practices, this work draws inspiration primarily from Anglo-Saxon goddesses and the Anglo-Saxon calendar. It offers a unique take on Brecht's Hauspostille through the lens of a polytheist agnostic amateur antiquarian. The narrative weaves together diverse influences, including Tolkien and Tove Jansson, alongside reflections on the cafes of Bishops Stortford and the quest to rediscover the hero Unwin the Un-Friend. The book also features prose elements and splendid early-Nineteenth century engravings.
