The story follows Jeremy and Sally Thibodeaux, clammers from Cedar Key, Florida, whose lives take a dramatic turn due to injuries. After Jeremy's herniated disc from a workplace accident involving a Bull Shark, he is prescribed Roxy Contin, a powerful painkiller. Sally, facing her own challenges after a slip and fall incident, also starts taking the medication. Their reliance on this drug highlights the struggles with pain management and the potential consequences of addiction, weaving a narrative of personal and relational turmoil.
