Set against the backdrop of mid-1980s South Africa, a group of four embarks on a journey to document the discovery of a prehistoric skull, believed to be pivotal in understanding human origins. Led by the self-indulgent Professor Bamford, tensions arise as his young lover, Vicky, rekindles feelings in Rian, the videographer who once loved her. Meanwhile, Bucs, a township youth, struggles to navigate the growing violence surrounding them. The narrative explores personal conflicts amid a nation on the brink of change.
