Set against the backdrop of Paris, the story follows Klein, a New Yorker in her mid-thirties who escapes her unfulfilling life and relationship to start anew. Armed with a collection of stylish shoes but lacking a significant partner, she navigates the challenges of her tiny, kitchen-less apartment in the 6th arrondissement. As she adapts to her new surroundings, Klein's journey explores themes of reinvention and the pursuit of happiness in a foreign land.
