Set against the backdrop of the 1885 Riel Rebellion, two girls, Belle and Sarah, are determined to become the ringer of the new church bell in Batoche. Their ambition leads them to enter an embroidery contest. However, as gunfire signals an impending attack by General Middleton's forces, the girls must unite to protect themselves and their families amidst the chaos of war, highlighting themes of friendship, resilience, and community in the face of adversity.
