Set against the backdrop of the opiate epidemic, the story follows Evan, a recent college graduate, as he journeys to Buffalo to find Amanda, a girl his father once saved. Expecting to find a beacon of hope, he is instead confronted with Amanda's struggles to survive. Disheartened, Evan's return home is interrupted by a bond he forms with a young girl in need. As he reconnects with Amanda, their complicated relationship deepens, forcing Evan to navigate the challenges of love, loss, and the harsh realities of addiction.
