As he focuses on growing a beard, bizarre events unfold, including his mother's uncertain fate and his father's questionable identity. Convinced of a family curse linked to an eternal flame and a mythical group called the Nefarions, David and a man named Gary Wrench embark on a surreal journey across an altered America, encountering absurdities that challenge their perceptions of reality and destiny.
