The story follows Malik Copeland, who, after overcoming addiction, rebuilds his life with Sasha and her daughter Zoe. When Malik's estranged son, Phoenix, reaches out to establish a relationship, Malik welcomes him into their family. Initially, Phoenix appears to thrive, charming everyone around him. However, as troubling behavior emerges and a child's disappearance raises suspicions, Malik grapples with the complexities of fatherhood and the lengths he will go to protect his son, questioning the true nature of Phoenix's character.
