Set in 1969 Brooklyn, the story follows Sadie Weinstein, a quirky amateur detective who becomes embroiled in a murder investigation while visiting Staten Island. The victim, a bigamist with multiple wives, leads Sadie on a cross-state pursuit of suspects, all while she faces scrutiny as a suspect herself. With her husband's warnings echoing in her ears and the help of her psychic friend, Rhajmah, Sadie's determination shines through. Amidst the tension of Hurricane Camille, her humorous antics provide a lighthearted touch to the gripping mystery.
