Set in the autumn of 1981, the story unfolds as the British Prime Minister grapples with a new threat from a Republican splinter group seeking Irish unification. Amid preparations for the State Opening of Parliament, which will be graced by the Queen and the newlywed Prince Charles and Diana, a tense race against time begins. The Prime Minister must thwart a team of international assassins bent on wreaking havoc and revenge within the British establishment, heightening the stakes in a politically charged atmosphere.
