The story follows two friends who bond during army training and their shared experiences in Vietnam, leading to a lasting friendship despite their divergent paths. Dr. Bruce Conwell, a pastor in Iowa, and Chip McIntosh, a successful businessman, navigate thrilling adventures initiated by Nancy Springs, a CIA agent. Their escapades take them from Gitmo to a potential crisis at the St. Louis Arch, all while Brew's congregation remains oblivious to his connection with Chip. A disreputable reporter, "Bulldog," adds intrigue by covertly tracking Brew.
