Three years after he was first fired reporting fraud at the hospital where he worked, Joe Hunter literally "hooked" a body while fishing. Over the next two months, six other people are shot along the river and everyone fears a serial killer is on the loose. Because he is a friend of the chief investigator on the case and of his experience as an intelligence analyst in the Air Force Joe is asked to help in the investigation. Both Joe and his friend are shocked when they learn the killer was involved in the fraud at the hospital and that Joe was supposed to be the first victim in THE RIVER KILLINGS.
