Betty Featherwin works as a successful bookshop owner in the coastal area of Coos County, Oregon. The year is 1921, and the railroad and shipyard are thriving industries in the town of North Bend. Fog rolls in heavy across the road and stops at the bookshop door. In this close-knit community, Betty's life unfolds. With the help of her friend Thomas from Washington state, they both unravel the mystery of a years-old secret. This takes them away from Oregon, and they both return as different people. This is the third installment, and sequel to The Two Secrets (Book 1) and The Third Secret (Book 2).
