In Finding Soul Brothers: Dismantling Black Christian Racialism, former journalist Pamela G. Wilson challenges fellow African-American Christians to depart from longstanding social and political patterns based on race. Instead, she argues, they should assume a faith-based agenda, which would more closely align with their spiritual beliefs. Though African-Americans are the demographic most likely to be involved in "religious" beliefs and practices, studies indicate that millions African-Americans have practical views and sociopolitical actions that do not align with the Bible.
