In 1879, Captain Daniel Cole's riverboat, The Melody, sinks with all hands lost and Captain Cole is found guilty of murder. He goes down in history as one of the most notorious villains of all time. It's now present day and The Melody is renovated by a beautiful young widow who is in for a ghostly surprise. Captain Cole haunts his old riverboat, and the young widow on it, with a fiery vengeance. Though first frightened by his larger than death presence, she is later captivated by his charm, and helps him to solve the mystery of the sinking, in order to clear his name.
