In the sanctuary of Star City, a technologically advanced city-state run by a self-conscious artificial intelligence, Selene, a young couple struggles to build a life together. Their dream of starting a family is broken by an emerging political force that aims to mold society according to a twisted vision of a radically mechanized utopia.
