Affirmations and Contradictions contains Robert Weston's latest poems, written over a three year period (2006 2008) that included some of the best and some of the worst of times. The presence of the Breakthrough Men's Community is obvious in some if not all of these poems, which celebrate and articulate various dimensions of recovering and nurturing the inherent nature of self in a confusing world. Weston's previous collections of poems are Certainties (2006) and Voices of Lobos (2010). He has a PhD in English Literature and has done Master's work in psychology. He lives on the Monterey Peninsula of California with his wife Joy.
