Commander Kaestner lifted a large case off the floor onto the table. It thudded open and he waved the students to come around to take a look inside. "This will be your equipment for this mission." He pointed to a wide assortment of gadgets and trinkets, most of which were unrecognizable to the crew. "These here are contact signalers. They're like beepers or pagers, but they don't make a sound. When the signaler is attached the person wearing it simply feels a heating sensation on their skin when they are being 'signaled' so to speak." He held out a small black metal box with an adjustable rubber strap attached to it for the crew to see.
