Michael Corleone is returning to the U.S. after exile in Sicily. He is ordered to bring the Sicilian bandit, Salvatore Guiliano, unofficial ruler of northwestern Sicily. In his fight, the young folk hero has made both the police and the Mafia his enemies. When chief of the Mafia and the police, offer Corleone to find the elusive Robin Hood, betrayal seems inevitable.
