Rick Riordan’s new book “The Throne of Fire” is due in bookstore on May 3. The book is the second installment of his bestselling series “The Kane Chronicles,” a fantasy saga about two siblings, Sadie and Carter, who learn that they belong to family of Egyptian magicians. Riordan is the author of blockbuster “Percy Jackson and the Olympians” series, a critically-acclaimed book that is widely-credited with getting children and teens to read. In “The Throne of Fire,” which is also aimed at young adults, Sadie and Carter embark on a global quest to find The Book of Ra, with all manner of magical villains out to stop them.
