After nearly a decade of conflict with adversaries like the Borg and the Dominion, the United Federation of Planets embarks on a new era of peaceful exploration and diplomacy. Leading this mission is the U.S.S. Titan, under the command of Captain William T. Riker, featuring the most diverse crew in Starfleet history. However, their mission faces immediate challenges. In the aftermath of Star Trek ® Nemesis, the death of Praetor Shinzon has left the Romulan Star Empire on the brink of civil war, as various factions vie for control. This instability threatens to destabilize the entire region. To address this crisis, Starfleet delays Titan's exploration mission, redirecting Riker to facilitate power-sharing discussions among the competing Romulan factions. As Riker and his crew take their first steps toward establishing a new Romulus, they confront the resurgence of the Tal Shiar, the notorious Romulan intelligence agency, which is plotting its own agenda. With no other assistance available, Riker and the Titan crew become the last hope to prevent the quadrant from descending into chaos.
